Lexington is currently developing it’s Uptown Lexington area with a new railroad district depot area. The railroad district area will also be developing more Lexington Breweries like Goose and Monkey Brewhouse and Bull City Ciderworks and restaurants.  Lexington is home to Pigs in the City. What are the different areas of LEXINGTON?

Lexington has many neighborhoods that are great places to call home. Many neighborhoods are convenient to I-85, I-40, and I-73, making it easy to travel from the city to other central North Carolina cities and towns like High Point, Kernersville, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro. The Piedmont Triad International Airport is just on the outskirts of town, a 20-minute or less drive from most neighborhoods. LEXINGTON BBQ FESTIVAL

Throughout the year Lexington has events for you enjoy. In the fall, Downtown Lexington has multiple festivals including the BBQ Festival and all the events surrounding the BBQ Festival. This is the largest one day festival in North Carolina. Later in the month Main St shuts down on Halloween for the annual Boo Bash presented by Uptown Lexington. This event has live music, pumpkin painting, and of course free candy. 
 
Lexington also boasts an outdoor amphitheater, located in the historic railroad depot district of Uptown Lexington area. Are you wanting to get away from the Uptown lifestyle? You could always check out the winery events at Childress Vineyard. Events include live music, dinners, and event a  Masquerade Murder Mystery Dinner this year. Another great option is to go visit High Rock Lake and enjoy the second largest lake in North Carolina. High Rock Lake is considered to be one of the best fishing locations in the Southeast. High Rock Lake has multiple fishing tournaments throughout the year.
